Food & Drink

If you’re spending the whole day at The Tank Museum, don’t forget to stock up on supplies at the Restaurant or Café. Where possible, we use Dorset suppliers so expect to see Dorset Tea, Baboo Gelato, and meat from local farms. Both the café and restaurant are wheelchair accessible. There are high-chairs available for our younger visitors.

The Tank Museum Restaurant

Overlooking The Tank Story exhibition hall, the Restaurant is open daily from 1000 – 1700. From pasties, freshly made sandwiches and salads, to delicious hot meals with homemade cake, we’ve got your daily rations sorted. Daily specials include mains such as lasagne, curry, moussaka, chilli and casserole. Enjoy a wide range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice-cream. There’s also plenty of child-friendly choices, including a kids lunch pack with a range of options and healthy snacks. Our breakfast menu is available 1000-1130, and hot lunch options are served 1145-1500.

We have a wide range of gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options available. Please make one of our catering team aware of any dietary requirements or allergens when ordering or call 01929405096 ext 247 to speak to our team who would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Tank Museum Cafe

Deep in the heart of The Tank Museum, you’ll find the Café near our Soft Play area. With a selection of drinks and snacks, sandwiches, pasties, and hotdogs, the Café is open 1030 – 1630 year round.

Picnics

If you want to bring your own picnic, you can enjoy it whatever the weather. Find a grassy spot on the banks by our tank arena or use one of the picnic benches provided. There is also an indoor picnic area, available during weekends and school holidays.

Sustainability

All of our suppliers have been carefully chosen to make sure they align with our values. We aim to recycle all cardboard, plastic, metal, and glass that our food and drink items are delivered or sold in. Our waste cooking oil is collected to be converted to bio-fuel. We use recyclable disposables such as cups, lids and straws, avoiding single use plastics where possible.
