Visitors now have the choice of six exclusive guided tours at The Tank Museum, with three brand-new tours on offer for 2023. Plus groups of 10 or more will receive 40% off general admission.
Exclusive to groups, the new tours allow you to see the vehicles not on public display with a tour of the Vehicle Conservation Centre, learn about the history of tank ammunition by getting your hands on rounds from the last 100 years, or discover what life was like for the crews by getting inside a World War I Mark IV, or a Cold War Chieftain tank.
Still popular is a walking tour of The Museum’s Flagship exhibition, The Tank Story hall, which holds the most historically significant tanks in our unique collection.
Another favourite among visitors is the immersive Tommy in The Trenches Tour, which allows you to walk in the footsteps of a World War I solider, from the recruiting office to the Front Line.
With a general admission ticket, groups will also have the opportunity to explore the Museum’s 10 powerful exhibitions and over 300 military machines, representing every major conflict since the First World War.
Visitor Experience General Manager Rosanna Dean: “We wanted to give military history fans the opportunity to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience that they would not be able to do anywhere else.
“From learning about the most important armoured fighting vehicles in history to walking in the footsteps of a First World War soldier, these new tours will ensure tank fans can make the most out of their visit”.
Whilst these tours can be pre-booked for any party size, bring a group of 10 or more for 40% off general admission and the option for a special pre-bookable group menu to refuel in the restaurant during your visit. Plus, take advantage of free coach parking and a dedicated booking agent to help plan your perfect day.
Please note: An annual pass is included in the general admission price, tours are at an additional cost.
