Get in the festive spirit at our brand-new Dorset Christmas Event!
This year the Museum has partnered with Dorset Food & Drink and the Etsy Dorset Team to bring visitors a local Christmas experience!
With the festive season well underway, enjoy a festive day out at The Tank Museum on 27 and 28 November. There’s fun for all the family – watch live entertainment, purchase unique gifts from local crafters, and explore the Museum with our Christmas trail ‘Frank on a Tank’.
Rosanna Dean, Visit Experience General Manager, said: “After our Christmas event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, we wanted to come back with a bang for 2021 and offer our visitors a Christmas extravaganza.
“There are some things we did have to rein in, like a Santa’s Grotto – because we still want to ensure it’s a COVID-safe event for all. However, children will be delighted to hear we managed to book in early with Father Christmas, and he will be turning up on a tank!
“Another thing that is new for this year is our partnership with the Dorset Esty Makers Team. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse Christmas stalls around the Museum and purchase unique gifts for friends, family or even themselves.

“We’re very excited about the weekend event and hope to bring some festive cheer to all our visitors!”
A Dorset Christmas will take place on 27 – 28 November. Annual Passes and memberships are valid for this event. Plus new for this weekend will be a display of Christmas cards sent by tank soldiers to their families from the First and Second World Wars.
