How should I prepare my pupils/students for their visit?
It may be helpful to run through the following points with your students prior to their visit. The Tank Museum has large vehicles on display in our galleries. Please make pupils aware that running in the Museum or climbing on the vehicles could lead to serious injury.
The Museum is also a memorial to the soldiers of the Royal Armoured Corps. Please have a discussion with your pupils about the appropriate way to behave in a memorial site and how their behaviour might affect other visitors in a positive or negative way. We have many visitors who have a personal connection to the Army or have been in the armed forces themselves, for example veterans of the Second World War.
