TANKFEST - Postponement

TANKFEST 2020 will be postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

23rd March 2020

TANKFEST 2020 is to be postponed from June until September, due to the increasing impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.

On government advice, The Tank Museum has been closed to the public since Friday 20 March– and at present there is little indication to suggest that TANKFEST could safely go ahead in June.

TANKFEST 2020 is therefore being moved from 26, 27 & 28 June to 11, 12 & 13 September.

We appreciate just how disappointing and disruptive this news will be for you all. TANKFEST is The Tank Museum’s most important fundraising event of the year - and we’re very sorry to have to inconvenience so many of you.

Moving our signature event, with half the tickets already sold, is not something we could normally have imagined having to do. In the circumstances, it is the only thing we can do. Here’s how it will impact ticket holders:

All TANKFEST 2020 tickets will be valid for these new dates, aligning with the day(s) your existing tickets were booked for. Annual passes will be valid from the date they are activated.

Officers Mess tickets will also be transferred to either Saturday 11 September or Sunday 12 September, aligning with the day for which they were originally booked.

These circumstances are beyond what any of us could have predicted.  As stated, your TANKFEST Tickets will be valid on the new dates automatically. But, if you can’t make this new date and you haven’t already ‘activated’ your annual pass we can offer the following:

  1. The option to transfer your tickets to TANKFEST 2021 (June 2021).

  2. A full refund. Please note it may take as long as six weeks to process refunds under these unprecedented circumstances.

  3. The opportunity to turn your unused tickets into a donation. This outbreak is set to be devastating to the arts, culture and heritage industry. Showing your support for The Tank Museum in this way will play a major part in helping us navigate what is the biggest crisis we have faced in our history.  Plus, your annual pass will still be valid for you to visit The Tank Museum (Special events excepted) up to June 2021.

If you wish to claim any of these alternatives, please contact us ( before 1700hrs on 22 April 2020. If we don’t hear from you by this date, we will assume you are content with the new date - and ticket holders will be bound by our standard terms & conditions.
