Disruptions and Closures

Our Warhorse Exhibition space has now closed. Our newest Exhibition taking its place, Age of Experimentation, will be opening in early 2027.

The Museum will be closed for essential maintenance and staff training. We’ll be open as usual on all other days, so you can still plan your visit around these dates.

Our Tamiya Hall, Soft Play, Cafe and Ukraine Exhibition will be closing from 14:00 on this day as we prepare for an event, however the rest of the museum remains accessible during this time.

The Tamiya Hall will be closed between these dates as we set up and host our Behind The Scenes Event, and later our Remebrance Service. During this time, the rest of the Museum will remain accessible.

These parts of the Museum will be shut today for our Remembrance Service, we have many other halls to visit during this time.

There will be some disruption in our Tank Story Hall whilst we set up for our A Dorset Christmas Event.

A Dorset Christmas takes place this weekend. Stalls will be set up in the Tank Story Hall, which will limit access and viewing opportunities around various vehicles in the Museum.

The Tamiya Hall, along with the Book Shop, Cafe and Ukraine Exhibition will be closed during this time for a private event. However, all other halls and the Museum’s Restaurant remain open during this time.

Our Tank Men Exhibition will be closing from 15:00 this day as we set up for our 110th Anniversary Seminar – find out more & book tickets here.

The Tamiya Hall, along with the Book Shop, Cafe and Ukraine Exhibition will be closed from 12pm on 2 December due to a private event, but will be open as normal from 4 December.

The Vehicle Conservation Centre may be closed at certain times during this period. If you’re planning a visit, please check with a member of the team on the day to check availability.

The Museum will be closed for Christmas. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and we will see you all again on 27 December!
