Find out if your favourite tank is available to view with our disruptions and closures calendar.

This is subject to change at short notice, but we will endeavour to let our visitors know about any exhibition closures.

Tiger Day Spring has SOLD OUT. Please don’t come to The Tank Museum if you don’t have a Tiger Day Spring admissions ticket.

We will be redeveloping our Orientation Zone to make it easier for our visitors to find their way round the Museum. No exhibitions will be closed.

13-17 May

Due to essential maintenance, the Café in the Cold War Hall will be closed. The hall and the exhibits will be open and accessible as usual. Food and drink is available from the main restaurant.

3pm 17 May

Due to setting up for the Silent Disco, from 3pm on 17 May access to the Cold War Hall and Afghanistan Exhibition will be limited. The café and soft play will be closed during this time.

Due to the silent disco event at The Museum, Cold War Hall and soft play will be closed until 12pm on 19 May. Book your tickets for the silent disco here.

TANKFEST 2024 is nearly here! Due to set up for this huge event, there may be minor disruptions site wide. Book your tickets for this sell out event here.

The Tank Museum will be closed to the public on the 5 July while our staff take a well-deserved break post-TANKFEST.

Due to our South West Model Show, there will be limited access to exhibitions due to set up and the delivery of the event.

Due to set up for Tiger Day Autumn, the Cold War Hall and soft play will be closed from midday on 25th and reopen, ready for Tiger Day, on the 28th. Book tickets here.

Due to setting up for the annual mental health and wellbeing event, On Track, there will be limited access to exhibits in the Tank Story Hall and Mezzanine. You can find out more and book tickets for this event here.

8 November-11 November, 12pm

Due to the Remembrance Day Service, the Cold War Hall including the Afghanistan exhibition and café will be closed. The hall will reopen by noon on 11 November.

Due to our annual Dorset Christmas event, there will be limited access to exhibitions due to the set up and delivery of the event.

Due to the annual RAC Boxing Event, the Cold War Hall including the Afghanistan exhibition and café will be closed. The Cold War Hall will reopen by noon on Friday 29 November.
