The lifts in the Vehicle Conservation Centre are out of order and will be repaired ASAP. Currently, the Vehicle Conservation Centre is only accessible via stairs.
Additionally, the lift connecting all three floors in the main Museum is out of order. However, the main Museum is still fully accessible via ramps and alternative lifts.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Throughout November 2025, The Tank Museum will be closed to the public on Fridays in order to carry out essential maintenance and staff training. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep the Museum running at its best!
There may be areas of wet paint in areas across the Museum – please look out for the signs and barriers.
The Home Front Cinema will be closed for filming. The Home Front House will remain open as usual.
A Dorset Christmas event will be taking place at the Museum. There will be stalls and live entertainment across site which may impact access to exhibits.
This event does not need to be pre-booked. Annual passes are valid to use for this event.

The Tamiya Hall, Soft Play, Café and Ukraine Exhibition will be closed for maintenance. Thank you for your understanding.

The Museum will be closed every Wednesday in January for essential maintenance and staff training. We will be open as usual for the rest of January.
