Our outside play area is under maintenance, but please be assured our Soft Play Area and outside swing set are still open for use. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Our Warhorse Exhibition space will be closing from 31 August. Our newest Exhibition taking its place, Age of Experimentation, will be opening in January 2027.
Our South West Model Show takes place this weekend. Stalls will be set up primarily in the Tank Story Hall, which will limit access and viewing opportunities around various vehicles in the Museum.

There will be an event set up in our Tank Story Hall on 7 October for On Track – our annual wellbeing event.

The Tamiya Hall, Soft Play, Cafe and Ukraine Exhibition will be inaccessible as we set up and prepare for our Supporters Day event. This part of the Museum will be closed from 12pm on 16 October, but open again as normal from 18 October.
The Museum will be closed for essential maintenance and staff training. We’ll be open as usual on all other days, so you can still plan your visit around these dates.
These parts of the Museum will be shut today for our Remembrance Service, we have many other halls to visit during this time.
There will be some disruption in our Tank Story Hall whilst we set up for our A Dorset Christmas Event.

The Tamiya Hall, along with the Book Shop, Cafe and Ukraine Exhibition will be closed during this time for a private event. However, all other halls and the Museum’s Restaurant remain open during this time.
