Guided Tours

Choose between a WWI Mark IV or Cold War Chieftain tank, to discover what life was like for the crews. This is the only place in the UK where you can get inside a real WWI vehicle. Exclusive tour only for group visitors. Please note that for the Chieftain tank tour, all participants must be 1.2m or over to get inside the vehicle.

This walking tour of the Museum’s flagship exhibition hall explores the history of armoured warfare from the first tank prototype ‘Little Willie’ to the present day ‘Challenger 2’.
The Tank Story Hall holds the most historically significant tanks in our unique collection.

Walk in the footsteps of a First World War Soldier through this immersive Exhibition – from the recruiting office to the Front Line. For a real close-up historical experience, you can touch kit, weapons and uniforms from The Tank Museum Archive.
