Acclaimed historian, author, and broadcaster James Holland is set to join The Tank Museum’s Board of Trustees.
As one of Britain’s most respected Second World War historians, James has built an international reputation through his bestselling books, documentaries, podcasts, and public speaking.
James is a bestselling author and is well-known for his popular title, Brothers in Arms, following the Sherwood Rangers on the final days of WWII. When he is not writing, James also co-hosts a successful history podcast with fellow Comedian, Al Murray.
Tank Museum CEO, Chris Price, said: “We’re thrilled James is going to be joining our Board of Trustees. We’ve worked with James for a long time, and very much appreciate him officially joining the Board.
“James’ expertise will be invaluable to help us tell the story of the tank and the people who served in them. We are very lucky to be welcoming him to the Board.”
As a Trustee, James will join the other members of the Board to help guide the strategic direction of The Tank Museum as it continues to safeguard the world’s finest collection of tanks.
On the 28 November James will be taking to the London stage with friend Al Murray and The Tank Museum in a brand-new event exploring the history – and future – of the tank.
The Tank Museum Presents: The Tank Story is held in the Royal Geographical Society’s Ondaatje Theatre in an evening exploring the rise, and potential fall of the tank on the battlefield.
Tickets to the event are available now for £35. Friends of The Tank Museum can save 20% on tickets.
