Golden Tickets for School Trips

From 1 September, every child participating in an educational workshop as part of an organised school trip to The Tank Museum will receive a ‘Golden Ticket’.

The Golden Ticket is exchangeable for a children’s annual pass at The Tank Museum. An Annual Pass allows holders to visit The Tank Museum as many times as they wish for one year from first use with any paying accompanying adult, excluding special event days.

During school holidays, kids can enjoy free themed activities, trails and interactives. Plus, during Easter, May, and Summer holidays, visitors can watch a live battle re-enactment during Tanks in Action.

The Museum offers educational activities for children from Key Stage 2, up to University and College students.

Claire Cooper, Senior Education Officer, said: “School trips to the Museum aim to inspire students through hands-on learning, interactive workshops and unique experiences.

“The Golden Ticket gives students the opportunity to come back to the Museum and share their experience with their family and friends.”

From exploring what life was like in First World War trenches and climbing inside a genuine Mark IV tank, to discovering what everyday life was like on the British Home Front during the Second World War and handling the Museum’s extensive collection of Second World War artefacts, students can engage directly with history.

Golden Ticket annual passes are for children aged 3-15 only and must be redeemed before the end of July 2028.
