Live Tank Displays This Easter Holiday!

Come rain or shine, The Tank Museum in Bovington is the perfect place for a fun day out for the whole family.

Each weekday will see tanks roar round the arena and armoured vehicles working together, and visitors can even volunteer to be troops in a mock battle.

Nik Wyness, Director of Marketing and Engagement, said: “Over winter our Workshop Team have been getting our vehicles ready for a season jam-packed of live action displays.

“Seeing tanks moving teaches kids about the history and engineering behind our collection in an exciting, impactful way. We pride ourselves on having plenty to do for all ages, even giving visitors the chance ride in a real tracked vehicle – a Cold War M548 troop carrier.”

As Dorset’s largest indoor attraction, there’s also plenty to do on a rainy day. During the Easter Holidays the Museum is offering special family-friendly activities themed around ‘Tea & Tanks’, including crafts, a rationing trailing, and how to make tea in a tank.

Nik continued: “And we hope our new pricing makes visiting even easier for local families. In line with our mission, we want to see more children and young people engaging with our collections and learning about our heritage.

“We recognise that affordability remains a concern for many families, and our revised child pricing is designed to make visiting more accessible for families without compromising the quality of the experience we offer. A child ticket has been reduced from £12.50 to £4.50.

“Visitors can also save by booking in advance, which helps us plan more effectively, while offering visitors a 20% saving on the standard admission price.”
