The Tank Museum has the world’s best collection of historic vehicles, and sometimes we even give the public the chance to ride in them!
Please find below all the current opportunities for tank rides. The proceeds from these experiences and raffles are used to conserve and restore our unique tanks for future generations.
Tiger 131 Ride & Sherman & Chaffee Driving Sweepstake
We have partnered with the American Heritage Museum to offer the ultimate WW2 tank experience – a ride in Tiger 131 at Tiger Day April PLUS driving Chaffee and Sherman tanks in the USA. Closes 13 October.

Tiger 131 Ride – Tiger Day Spring, 27 April 2024
The raffle winner will be able to take a ride in the infamous Tiger 131 around The Tank Museum arena at Tiger Day Spring, 27 April. 2nd and 3rd place will also be awarded a ride – vehicles TBC.

Tank Ride Terms and Conditions
- The Tank Museum reserves the right to withdraw any vehicle from the display due to safety, operational or mechanical concerns at any time. Should this happen during your experience, a suitable alternative will be made available or we shall endeavour to offer you an equivalent experience on an alternative date.
- Participants must be 18 years of age or over and at least 1.4m (4.6ft) tall, able to climb in and out of vehicles unaided.
- Please wear suitable clothing – we will provide black coveralls to wear. Please note, we do not permit the wearing of military or replica military uniforms.
