The Tank Museum is excited to introduce a new scale model from Airfix, the Ferret Mk 2 Scout Car, which joins the Airfix range in the popular online shop.
The Ferret Mk 2 Scout Car is a British armoured fighting vehicle built by Daimler. Powered by a 6-cylinder Rolls-Royce engine, the Ferret served in a reconnaissance role from the 1950s onward and saw service with the British Army, RAF, and multiple Commonwealth countries throughout its service life.
Simon Prager, Head of Commercial Operations, said: “The Tank Museum has several Ferret Scout Cars in its collection, and we are pleased to offer this stealth military vehicle for model fans to recreate at home.”
The Ferret Mk 2 Scout Car is now available for pre-order for August delivery, and as an exclusive Tank Museum offer for model and tea enthusiasts, the Ferret model will come with a specially designed Ferret mug.
With three schemes to choose from, military model builders can choose to recreate three different eras of the Ferret’s history: West Germany in the 1960s, Canada in the 1980s, or Cyprus in the 1970s.
The Tank Museum Online Shop stocks a selection of model tanks and aircraft in a wide selection of scales, suitable for the beginner modeller to the more experienced builder.
Every purchase contributes to conserving The Tank Museum’s historic armoured military vehicles for future generations.
