Local businesses and tank fans can now hire a World War Two themed meeting space at The Tank Museum.
Appropriately named ‘The Briefing Room’, the newly refurbished space has all the features of its namesake, with maps and charts on the walls, exposed brick decoration, army green woodwork, and World War II objects from the Museum’s Supporting Collection.
The Briefing Room can hold up to 90 delegates*, and features a built-in projector and screen, video conferencing, and Wi-Fi. The Museum also provides in-house catering for those looking to include a meal in their visit.
Wedding and Corporate Events Planner, Sophia Webley, says, “We are so pleased with the refurbishment and that we can offer this unique multi-use space, which is already proving popular with both new and existing clients.”
The Tank Museum entertains a wide variety of events, from conferences and away-days to weddings and award ceremonies.
In addition to The Briefing Room, you can also host your event within the Tamiya Hall, surrounded by post-war Main Battle Tanks.
The Museum also accommodates more unusual events.
In December 2022 it played host to the world’s first marathon to be held inside a museum and in January 2023, ‘The Big Sleep’, which saw participants spend a night on the floor of the Cold War Hall, raising over £9,000 for homeless veterans.
It’s not just inside the Museum that space is available. Numerous local cycling events have used The Tank Museum for their start and finish lines, and the large outdoor arena has been the stage for open air concerts.
*Please note, the number of delegates is dependent on the lay out of the room.
