Tiger Day Autumn1 October 2022

Travel arrangements 1/10/22

As a result of national rail strike action, there will be no train service between Southampton and Weymouth. As a result, there will be no shuttle bus between Wool station and The Tank Museum. As seasonal bus services have now ceased for the winter, we advise those relying on public transport to plan their journey carefully.

If you are coming from Bournemouth to The Tank Museum, we’d recommend this route:

  1. Catch the m1 More Bus to Poole. The bus stop is 10 mins walk from Bournemouth Coach Station. Approximately 45 minutes journey – timetable HERE
  2. Then catch the Number 40 bus (Breezer) from Poole Bus Station to Wareham. Approximately 45 minutes journey – timetable HERE
  3. You would then need a 10 minute taxi from Wareham. Try Garrison Gars HERE

There is a cycling event happening locally, and while there are no road closures please be careful on the roads around The Tank Museum.

Tiger 131 only runs twice a year at Tiger Day – so you can’t afford to miss it!

See a WWII tank display and explore The Tank Museum on a day dedicated to the world’s most infamous tank.

Rescheduled from 17 September – September ticket holders have been contacted with their options. Please contact [email protected] if you haven’t received an email.

  • 1 October 2022
  • See Tiger 131 in action – the world’s only running Tiger I
  • WWII-themed Tanks in Action – including German and Allied vehicles
  • Get up close with Tiger 131 and the other Panzers with the VIP Premium Experience
