Museum's Venue Hire Success

The Tank Museum has been the setting for a remarkable array of corporate events during 2023, including a movie premiere, live outdoor concerts, and the first ever proposal inside a tank.

With nearly 40 different events, this has been the Museum’s most successful year for their venue hire offering.

A wide variety of companies have chosen this unique location for their event, the NHS and the Royal British Legion to heavy metal band Sabaton and vintage car clubs.

The Cold War Hall was even home to 40 intrepid campers for the night, as part of the Big Sleep fundraising initiative.

2023 has proved popular for sporting events, with British Cycling using the outdoor space as a start and finish for races, and the army boxing team setting up a ring within the Museum.

The Museum was the venue for a meet and greet with metal band Sabaton.

For the second year running, it was also the setting for an indoor, night-time marathon, with nearly 100 athletes weaving throughout the exhibitions.

Kuwait arena with tanks and visitors
The Kuwait Arena has hosted international and national events.

The Tank Museum Event Coordinator, Sophia Webley said, “The Tank Museum is a sought-after venue for all types of events, with the conference rooms in regular use by companies looking for a unique location and organisations looking for an unforgettable space”.

With an experienced events team and variety of facilities on site, The Tank Museum can cater for in a WWII themed briefing room and black-tie dinners within the exhibitions. Events can be taken outside to the Kuwait arena, home to international events and displays.

As a registered charity, all venue bookings contribute to maintaining the Museum’s historical collection of armoured vehicles for future generations.
