Tank Fans, take the leap!

The Tank Museum was the setting for a proposal and a wedding between Tank enthusiasts Wanda Armstrong-Bridges and Steve Ellis, who after a leap year proposal in front of the Chieftain in 2020, said ‘I do’ against the extraordinary back drop of historic armour.

Four years on from when the couple first took the leap, Wanda Armstrong- Bridges said, “We had a breathtakingly beautiful wedding day at the Tank Museum, to be able to get married somewhere so close to our hearts, and where Steve started his military career with junior leaders going on to serve in the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards and the Royal Dragoon Guards was amazing.

“The combination of tanks and flowers, family and friends, fantastic food, and a wonderful venue made for a spectacular wedding. We can’t ever thank the museum staff enough for the wedding they helped us create, from the first leap year proposal to marrying two years later, the staff helped us throughout.”

The Museum can recreate your vision with a variety of packages and creative spaces that can take inspiration from history or be used in a contemporary style for an unforgettable wedding celebration.

Wedding and Corporate Events Planner Sophia Webley, said, “There are not many places in the world with a venue hire setting like The Tank Museum, we are delighted that the historical vehicles in the Museum’s collection were able to be part of Wanda and Steve’s journey.”
