The Tank Museum has announced its first guest vehicles for TANKFEST 2026 (June 26-28).

Following the widely reported disappointment of 2023, where it was halted an impounded by French customs at Dunkirk, the Nashorn will be heading to Dorset from The Netherlands for the 3 day event.

Owned and returned to running condition by the Nashorn Restoration Project, it’s one of just three in existence – and the only one that can still be driven.

Courtesy of the Royal Netherlands Army, a Leopard 2A4 will also be shipped across the channel to take part in arena demonstrations.

The Leopard 2 is a German built Main Battle Tank currently in front line service with several NATO allies that is prized for its firepower and excellent mobility.

From closer to home, The Norfolk Tank Museum will be displaying Deborah II, its World War One Mk IV Female replica.

It’s an exceptional re-construction of tank that was lost during the Battle of Cambrai – near where its remains are on public display today. It was built for a documentary marking 100 years of the battle which featured Guy Martin.

Continuing the World War One theme, the equally excellent replica of the Whippet will be returning to TANKFEST – and this time joining The Norfolk Tank Museum and The Tank Museum’s own Mark IV replica in the arena.

Built and owned by Tony Cooke, Kevin Jepson and the Project Fast Dog Team, the Whippet is a replica of Musical Box – a vehicle that famously caused havoc behind enemy lines in 1918.

Other guests and museum favourites are set to be announced soon – and with tickets selling fast early booking is recommended.
