For the first time, The Tank Museum will be joined by acclaimed historians and broadcasters Al Murray and James Holland on a London stage exploring the history – and future – of the tank.
Taking to the Royal Geographical Society’s Ondaatje Theatre on 28 November 2026, Al Murray, James Holland, and Tank Museum experts will examine the role of the tank across some of the most significant conflicts of the last century, including the First World War, the Second World War, and the Cold War.
Lucy McCalister, The Tank Museum’s Marketing & Communications Manager, said: “For over 100 years, The Tank Museum has been telling the stories of tanks and the people who served in them.
“As a registered charity and home to the world’s finest collection of tanks, we’re delighted to bring the Museum to a London audience for the first time ever.
“My thanks go to Al and James for joining us in this one-night special event. The show is shaping up to be a terrific mix of expert discussions and sharing our charitable mission.”
In addition to covering the last century’s significant armoured conflicts, speakers will look to the future and consider the changing nature of warfare and whether the tank will continue to dominate tomorrow’s battlefields.
The event will begin at 7.30pm. Standard admission tickets are £35, and Friends of The Tank Museum save 20% on tickets.
