Battlefield Explorers: Discovering Life in the Trenches and Tank Warfare.
Walk in the footsteps of a WW1 soldier and explore how soldiers were recruited, what they ate, the uniform they wore and what life was like living in a trench. Tank Tech: The Science and Engineering Behind WW2 Armour.
To correspond with British Science Week, these workshops look at the science behind tanks. They will also have a go at assembling a 1:4 model of a Sherman tank; assembling the tank from several key parts such as the hull, turret, guns, sprockets and suspension.

Join in with the street party outside our 1940s House and Shop and discover what party food looked like during wartime rationing.

Strategic Commanders: Mastering Teamwork in Tank Communication.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We want as many children as possible to access these activities, so we prefer not to exceed a 1:1 ratio for adults to children.
We will require at least one adult to every four children if booking as a group.
We welcome large home educator groups, but we ask that you book in the same way as individual home educators.
Payment must be made at the time of booking by credit or debit card. We cannot send invoices, even for larger groups or organisations.
Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable.
While our sessions are designed to capture the imagination of a wide audience, younger and older children may find the content less engaging, leading to restless behaviour that can disrupt the enjoyment of others. Please consider when booking sessions for children of varying ages.
