Model Show is back for 2022

Published: 13/11/2021

The largest Model Show in the South West is back from Sat 19 – Sun 20 February 2022 at The Tank Museum!

Model tanks, planes, ships, and trains of all types and sizes will be available to see, make and purchase. Over two days, you will be able to view in incredible detail the painstaking work of more than 200 exhibitors from across the modelling spectrum.

Exhibits will range from boats, planes, motor racing cars and of course masses of militaria and armoured warfare models!

Events Manager Jasmine White said: “For generations, people have made model kits and been inspired to visit The Tank Museum to see the real thing.

“Since the lockdowns, we have seen a real resurgence in model making, not just for pleasure but also for mindfulness and promotion of positive mental health.

“This is why it’s so invaluable to the Museum to have organisations like Models for Heroes who will be in attendance.

“The event has grown massively since we first started but it still combines two great passions; modelling and military history! There will be over 200 traders attending alone for the Spring event. It’s a brilliant family event and it’s great to see children getting involved too.

“So for anyone inspired by the displays, there will also be the opportunity to purchase kits, accessories and attend demonstrations too however if you can’t make it down we also have an event in autumn combined with a Sci-Fi theme!”

The Tank Museum’s own volunteer modelling association will be in attendance and will be on hand to advise on creating your own miniature scale models.

*Due to the nature of the event, there will be a limited number of Museum tours and talks taking place throughout the day. Some of the indoor exhibits may be obstructed from public view.
