Visitors spent almost 1 million hours at The Tank Museum in 2024.
This is just one of the many impressive stats revealed in The Tank Museums 2024 Impact Report, which has been released online today.
2024 was a successful year for the Dorset based museum, welcoming 221,183 visitors through its doors in what was its second-best year on record.
Museum Director Chris Price said: “As a registered charity, The Tank Museum is obliged to report the impact it has made on its audiences and its communities in the pursuit of its charitable objectives.
“In the past this has been done in a long, dry document that nobody reads. So, this year, we’ve decided to do a little differently – and we’re really proud of the results.”
The Tank Museums 2024 impact report is presented as an engaging 9-minute video that covers the museum’s performance in educating the public by telling the story of the tank and the people that served in them.
“As the museum of the Royal Tank Regiment and the Royal Armoured Corps, The Tank Museum, its Trustees and staff, can be proud of the way we have reached audiences across the globe as we seek to educate audiences on the history of armoured warfare and its impact on our world.”
