Get up close with tanks that feature on the big screen, dress up as a movie star and try your hand at SFX make-up! There will be film-themed fun for the whole family this Half Term at The Tank Museum, 26 October – 3 November 2024.
This Half Term The Tank Museum is celebrating ‘Tanks on Film’, with movie-themed activities running all week. There will be hands-on fun for the whole family, from interactive games and dressing up, to activities and soft play for mini-tank enthusiasts.
Daily activities will include a ‘Tanks on Film’ museum trail, colouring and activity station, and movie-themed dressing up. On Saturday 26 October there will be a free Special Effects Workshop where you can try your hand at SFX makeup, pre-booking essential.
Events Co-Ordinator, Milda Siauciulyte said; “We are delighted to showcase how The Tank Museum helps tell the story of tanks and their crews on the silver screen through ‘Tanks on Film’. This exciting programme of film-themed activities aims to bring the family together at The Tank Museum this October Half Term.”
The ‘Tanks on Film’ family activities are included in the general admission price to The Tank Museum, where visitors can explore powerful interactive exhibitions and discover the world’s finest collection of military vehicles at Dorset’s largest indoor attraction.
