Biggest ever South West Model Show

Published: 24/02/2022

Over 4000 people came to see scale models large and small at The Tank Museum last weekend, at its most successful Model Show yet.

Surrounded by real tanks and armoured vehicles, visitors had the chance to see scale models from across the spectrum, including cars, planes, trains and of course tanks.

There were also talks and demonstrations on key modelling techniques, including painting, airbrushing and choosing the right model kits. Visitors new to the hobby even had the opportunity to try out some model making, with the help of expert advice.

Events Manager, Jasmine White said, “It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying a day out at the South West Model Show.

“For generations, people have made model kits and been inspired to visit The Tank Museum to see the real thing. This event combined two great passions; modelling and military history.”

If you missed the spring South West Model Show, then be sure to visit the autumn show, on 10 September 2022. Find out more here about autumn’s South West Model Show.
