The world’s best display of historic moving armour wowed tank fans from around the world, with 24,000 visitors to this sell-out event at The Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset.
TANKFEST 2025, presented by World of Tanks, kicked off with a surprise for ticket holders, with the headline King Tiger tank joined by The Tank Museum’s Tiger 131.
This unique event marked the first time the King Tiger from Musée des Blindés’, Saumur, France, has been to the UK and the first time a running Tiger I and Tiger II have been seen in public together in eighty years.
Spectacular live displays ran throughout the day, featuring iconic tanks from the First World War, right up to the present day with a demonstration of in-service vehicles from The British Army’s Royal Armoured Corps.
Highlights included an explosive Second World War re-enactment battle and a display Cold War armour from both sides of the Iron Curtain.
Chris Price, Director of The Tank Museum said:
“It’s been such a wonderful atmosphere all weekend, and to have the only running Tiger tanks in the world together in the UK in the first time has made this year’s TANKFEST extra special.
“I’d like to thank everyone involved, including our event partners, our brilliant team of staff and volunteers, and all our sponsors – especially World of Tanks, who make this event possible.”
