We’re making some improvements to The Friends of The Tank Museum.
These will bring our members enhanced benefits whilst allowing them to continue financially supporting our charitable mission to preserve of our unique collections.
Our 2022 membership survey showed that our members were happy – but offered us some fantastic suggestions to make the experience even better.
So, from 1 August, Friends of The Tank Museum will receive the following additional benefits:
Tracklink Magazine: Now Quarterly!
One of our most prized benefits – Tracklink – is increasing from three editions to four editions per year – and we’re continuing to invest in its editorial quality.
Exclusive Online Content
Your membership will grant you access to a new members-only area of tankmuseum.org. Here, you’ll be treated to exclusive content, ideas for ways to make the most of your membership – and access to a digital archive of Tracklink magazines, dating back to 2014.
Among the exclusive members-only content, we will be making the entire back catalogue of Curator Q&A videos created for our Patreon supporters since 2017 – with 61 videos offering over 40 hours of informative watching.
Increased Discounts
Regular Friends will now get 15% off regular, full-price Special Event tickets and Gold Friends will get 15% off special event accompanying guest tickets. Plus, we’ve invested in our ticketing system to allow members to claim these discounts when buying online – making it easier to access this important benefit.
Archive Visits and Tank Info Packs
The changing nature of our membership has meant some benefits are not widely utilised and we have sought to invest in others instead. As a result, we’re reducing the Archive visit benefit to one half-day per year. Alternatively, members can instead claim a free pack of detailed diagrams – which includes information and blueprints on any given vehicle. Ideal for model makers and vehicle fans, there are over 100 vehicles to choose from. Request your pack by emailing friends@tankmuseum.org.
Member Events
Friends will get the opportunity to ask their questions to The Tank Museum Director and others at our member events – which we are currently refining our plans for. We looking to retain our online events whilst bringing back additional on-site events and gatherings… watch this space!

Your ongoing support for The Tank Museum makes a massive difference to supporting our work, with projects such as the Valentine restoration, work done on the Cut-in-Half Centurion in the run-up to the Tanks for the Memories exhibition, and purchasing track guards for the gate guards being funded from the overall financial contribution made by the Friends of The Tank Museum.
