Tank Museum wins Gold!

The Tank Museum has won Gold for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year at this year’s Dorset Tourism Awards.

This is the second time in a row The Tank Museum has won the award, which seeks to recognise large visitor attractions who provide memorable visitor experiences for over 75,000 visitors per year and demonstrate excellence across every aspect of their business.

The awards ceremony, which has been held at The Tank Museum for the past few years, had to be delayed and held online this year due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

Nik Wyness, Head of Marketing, “2020 was a difficult year for tourism and we’ve all had to adapt quickly to the complexities of working within the new restrictions.

“We see this award as recognition of the immense effort from our staff to maintain the best possible standards, despite the challenging operating environment.

“We’re looking forward to opening up soon and I’m confident that the resilient nature of Dorset tourism business means we can all look forward to a prosperous future.”
