Brand-new brick model of The Tank Museum’s most ambitious restoration to date is available to pre-order.
Proceeds from the sale of this model will be put towards the Museum’s fundraising project to restore King Tiger V2 to running condition. The Tank Museum expects this project to take around four years and is raising £1,000,000 to make this possible.
Part of the notorious Tiger family, the German King Tiger was one of the most powerful tanks on the battlefield during the Second World War. Although it suffered mobility and mechanical issues due to its size, it had a devastatingly powerful gun and thick armour-plate.

King Tiger V2 is the oldest surviving King Tiger in existence. It was the second of 492 King Tigers to be built. That’s why it is known as “V2”: the V is short for “Versuchs”, which translates as “experimental” or “trial”.
Customers who pre-order this brand-new model from The Tank Museum will own it two weeks before anywhere else.
Designed by COBI, in collaboration with The Tank Museum, the model features over 1,500 pieces. The first 200 pre-orders will receive a limited-edition King Tiger V2 medallion.
Assistant Marketing Manager, Gemma Butler, said: “This launch represents more than just a collectible; it is an opportunity for modellers to play a part in restoring King Tiger V2.
“It is a truly unique vehicle, and this 1/28 COBI model allows you to bring a piece of armoured history into your home.”
The COBI King Tiger V2 brick model can be pre-ordered from tankmuseumshop.org. This model is anticipated to be in stock in September 2026.
