The Tank Museum is excited to be part of the global initiative, History Rocks, to screen the world premiere of the film “The War to End All Wars” by metal band Sabaton.
The Tank Museum has been chosen by Sabaton fans as one of over 100 museums taking part in History Rocks – a worldwide premiere of their animated WWI film for the 105th anniversary of the Armistice.
Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton’s songs are inspired by significant events in military history. The War to End All Wars is based on their album of the same name, animated by YarnHub to tell powerful human stories of WWI.
“Sabaton are very popular with tank fans, and we are thrilled to collaborate with Sabaton and YarnHub to be part of their charity initiative to bring The War to End All Wars film to our visitors.
“This event is the first of its kind for the Museum, and we are looking forward to reaching a new audience of history enthusiasts,” said Tank Museum Events Manager Tom Holmes.
The film will be screened at the home of the tank on the 5, 6 8 and 13 November and included in the standard Museum ticket entry.
On 13 November there will be a special screening of the film with an exclusive meet and greet and Q&A session with Sabaton bass guitarist Pär Sundström.
Annual pass holders will be able to watch The War to End All Wars for free.
