Eat, Drink and be Married at The Tank Museum

Published: 25/06/2021

A local couple said “I Do” at The Tank Museum’s first wedding, in front of a Second World War tank.

Rachel and Daniel Titley, from Yeovil, wanted to get married somewhere their son Adam would enjoy and even let him pick his favourite tank for them to say their vows in front of.

Rachel: “When we heard couples could get married at The Tank Museum, knowing how much Adam loves it there, made the choice simple for us.

“The team was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more! Being able to include our son in the decision-making process and allowing him to plan everything was hugely important and he made us proud.

“Adam absolutely loves The Tank Museum, it’s his favourite place and yes, he’s got his TANKFEST tickets – he wouldn’t miss it. Now every time we come back to visit we’ll have a shared special memory as a family as well.

“With the ever-changing situation, we are continuing to work flexibly to ensure peace of mind for our couples when planning their big day.

“Looking ahead, we’ve already started taking bookings for next year, that we hope aren’t restricted by Covid regulations and can cater for upwards of 1000 guests.

If that wasn’t enough, all profits from your wedding with go to support The Tank Museum charity. So, not only will you have started a new life together, your special day will have helped to preserve history for generations to come.

Rosanna added, “We’ve had a number of requests for weddings over the years and we’re pleased to finally be able to offer people the chance to get married at The Tank Museum.”
