Discover Scale Modelling at The Tank Museum

Discover everything you need to know about scale modelling at the South West’s biggest model show, at The Tank Museum, 11-12 February 2023.

Live workshops and demonstrations, as well as stalls selling the latest modelling kits and accessories, will be set against a backdrop of real tanks and armoured vehicles at the South West Model Show, 11-12 February.

Visitors can look forward to a display of models from across the spectrum, including trains, planes, boats, science-fiction icons and of course tanks! Watch mini tanks in action at the remote control tank display area and find out who the Charity Dalek Squad want to EXTERMINATE at their Dalek Q&A.

Enjoy demonstrations and workshops

There is a jam-packed programme of workshops for model enthusiasts, including demonstrations of specialist techniques and tips on how to build a model tank, with a chance to ask the experts your questions about scale modelling. Hone your skills with airbrushing workshops and find out how 3D modelling works from event sponsor, Arts University Bournemouth.

Visitors Experience General Manager, Rosanna Dean, “For generations, people have made tank model kits and been inspired to visit The Tank Museum to see the real thing.”

“This event combines two great passions; modelling and military history. Not only will visitors have the opportunity to see the latest modelling creations and meet like-minded people, but they’ll also have the chance to hear from the experts and pick up new tricks and tips on how to perfect their models at home.”
