Lightning Bolts Parachute Display Team opens Afternoon Displays

The Tank Museum is excited to announce that the afternoon displays at TANKFEST 2019 will be opened by the Army Parachute Display Team, the Lightning Bolts! 

At an altitude of 8000ft, each member will exit the aircraft followed by a smoke trail. After created a star formation in the sky, they will open their parachutes and land in the arena.

Parachute Jump Raffle

Restrictions
 
Jump can be booked Wed and Fri afternoons, Sat and Sun all day, Apr – Oct (this year or next). The raffle will be drawn on the 3rd of July 2019 and the winner will be contacted directly. 
 
Location: The jump will be conducted at the Army Parachute Association, Netheravon, SP4 9RY
 
Age and medical: Min age 16, no upper age, but must be able to sign a declaration of fitness to parachute jump, read here, and be strong enough to lift one’s own legs up to waist height on landing.  They can sign the declaration on the day of the tandem as long as they are generally fit and healthy.  If they have health problems, they will need to have a doctor sign them off as fit to jump, we can give them that form.
 
Weight: Must be less than 16 stone or 102kg.
 
Weather: Although the team will make every effort to conduct the tandem, if the weather is unsuitable, an alternative date will be arranged between the winner and the team.
